• Castle Lahneck in Lahnstein: The castle of the archbishops and electors of Mainz was built around the year 1245 as protection of the area of the Lahn River water mouths. The castle restaurant with the shady terrace and magnificent view towards the Rhine and Lahn rivers is connected to the castle.
• Martins castle in Lahnstein: The toll castle of the archbishops and electors of Mainz was built starting in the year 1298. The main tower, which is 28 meters high, served as corner bastion of the town fortification. The castle church was the first protestant church in Lahnstein and was consecrated to the holy Bartholowmew.
• Battlement and witch tower in Lahnstein: The north-eastern corner of the old town fortification was built starting in the year 1324. An octagonal tower, which is 26 meters high and made of quarrystone work stands in the middle of a part of the town wall, which is 97 meters long. The former prison of the town Lahnstein is on the first floor. A spiral staircase leads up into the 2nd floor with the jury hall.
• The German Corner in Koblenz/Coblence, about 11 km: A monumental equestrian statue of the German Emperor Wilhelm I. was erected in the year 1897, which was built as a memorial of the foundation of the German Empire in 1871.
• Fortress Stolzenfels, about 14 km: It stands above the Koblenz / Coblence town part of Stolzenfels, which carries the same name, on the left Rhine river side, opposite the Lahn river mouth. The neo-Gothic castle is the most outstanding buildings of the Rhine River Romantic.
